About This Game
Dead End Survival is a 2D horror survival game with a chibi art style — cute characters, terrifying world. You play as a survivor navigating through a city overrun by the infected, searching for supplies, claiming safe houses, and uncovering the truth behind the outbreak.
The outbreak is called the Bloom — a bacteria that got into the water supply and turned people into something else. You'll piece together what happened through floating text memories, objectives, and readable lore notes scattered through each chapter. There's no voice dialogue — the story hits you through what you find and where you find it.
Chapters 1 through 4 are out now: The Underpass, Mercy Hospital, Rail Yard, and The Metro. Each chapter connects to the last through doors you unlock, and you can backtrack to areas you've already cleared. It's an endless loop with no definitive ending yet — built for ongoing chapter updates.
How to Play
Explore each area, flash your flashlight to see in the dark (watch your battery), craft items from supplies you find, claim houses as safe zones, and trade with Old Pete the trader NPC — he sells items and gives you missions. Rescued survivors can join you and help defend your claimed home.
Tips
- Conserve your flashlight battery — darkness is dangerous.
- Claim a house early for a safe place to fall back to.
- Talk to Old Pete whenever you see him — his missions pay well.
- Read every lore note. The Bloom's story is worth finding.
